Smart Acoustic Sensor for Intruder Detection - SASID
The main objective is to design a smart acoustic sensor for intruder detection for the development of an acoustic monitoring system for intruder detection. The main focus is on wildlife monitoring but other application areas, e.g. monitoring of industrial premises, can be also envisaged.
Specific objectives:
- Acoustic sensor inputs and outputs selection;
- Acoustic sensor architecture design;
- Communication system design and implementation;
- Implementation of acoustic sensor components and demonstration of their operation;
- Implementation and testing of the experimental model;
- Implementation of the entire acoustic sensor and demonstration of its operation;
- Design, implementation and optimization of algorithms in accordance with the characteristics of the acoustic sensor and the environment.
