Signal Processing Group (SPG) provides teaching activities related to digital signal processing, digital filter design, adaptive filtering, transforms, signal modeling, mathematical methods for signal processing, applied statistics, Fourier optics, optical processing and optical storage of information.

Research interests cover many topics of signal processing and related areas: signal reconstruction, adaptive filtering, transforms, sensors, processing of signals obtained from sensors, medical devices, sensor arrays, image and optical processing, security and protection, intruder detection, forensics, optical signal processing, computer aided analysis and synthesis of circuits/devices, algorithms implementation, numerical methods, bioelectronics, compressive sampling, wireless networks, acoustic sensors, audio and speech processing.
